• Our new website so that people know about how awesome we are!

In short, you’re paying for a reliable, high-quality, well-organized, and fun pickup!

Yes. Core Squad Memberships are designed for regular players, but we understand life happens.

• You’re not penalized for missing a week

• You get credited for that week’s game, which you can roll and use the next month.

• Your spot remains reserved for the rest of the sessions that month

Please note that day-of cancellations are non-refundable.

No. Core Squad spots are non-transferable and cannot be given away or resold.

Core Squad membership is tied to you as a player and helps us keep games consistent, balanced, and accountable.

If you can’t make a session, please follow the cancellation policy so your spot can be offered through the waitlist.

Attempts to give away or resell a Core Squad spot may result in removal from the Core Squad.

When the group was smaller, splitting the field cost evenly worked well. As the community has grown, that approach became harder to manage and less reliable.

Week to week, it required tracking who paid, who paid late, and adjusting prices based on last-minute cancellations or changes in attendance.

Moving away from cost-splitting allows us to:

• Reserve fields confidently ahead of time (securing a highly demanded day and time slot)

• Reduce last-minute price changes and payment follow-ups

• Handle late cancellations more fairly and consistently

• Offer guaranteed spots and priority booking for regular players

The goal isn’t to charge more just for the sake of it. It’s to keep Laidback Soccer sustainable while maintaining the friendly, pickup-first culture that makes us awesome.

We aim to keep pricing stable, but these might change depending on any rising field rental costs. However, keep in mind:

• Core Squad Member rates are locked for the month.

• Pay-as-you-play pricing may adjust slightly based on demand, costs, or added value

Any changes will be communicated in advance.

We cap attendance to maintain quality and safety.

• Some sessions run with 20 players (two small 5v5 games)

• Some sessions run with fewer players depending on format and availability (6v6, 7v7)

Note: We occasionally run games with 15 players with three teams rotating every 7 minutes. These are usually during months we don’t have access to a second field. Our goal is to move away from this format as we continue to grow!

We rarely cancel a game (we have done so only 5-6 times in the last 3 years!)

But when we do (and to keep things fair and financially sustainable,) it’s usually because we don’t have the minimum number of players for a game.

• If that happens, we might cancel the game or turn it into a different format (6v6, 3 teams, etc).

• Players will be notified in advance

• Any payments will be credited toward a future session

Pickup apps are great for finding one-off games.

Leagues often require you to commit a little bit more money for several weeks. (and might not refund you if you need to cancel.)

Our sessions are built for players who want a consistent, fun and well-organized pickup they can rely on week after week.

We build our games around a regular group of players – who then become your community – people who actually care for you.

The result is a more reliable, know-what-to-expect kind of game where you’re guaranteed good vibes only.
